Waterfall – Virginia Water

Waterfall – Virginia water.

On Saturday I visited this beautiful waterfall at Virginia water lake and was blown away by this waterfall. Going by what I have seen online I thought it was only 6 feet tall.. I was mistaken its around 25/30 foot tall, perfect for some Long exposures!

Recently I had invested in Lee Filters. Lee has been on my ‘list to buy’ for some time and I had the opportunity to finally get them!
The day before I went and bought the Lee Filter Big stopper to add to my collection and this was the perfect filter for these exposures.
The big stopper was allowing me to get some seriously long exposures between 2/4 minutes depending on my camera settings, this was allowing for silky smooth water falling down the rocks. An effect I really love.

I experimented with a few different compositions and below are the images I got on my trip to Virginia water.

The images below were shot on my Sony a6000, Sony 18-200mm/Samyang 12mm lenses, Lee filters big stopper and graduated filters.
